Gutter Plus/Minus buttons disappeared

In the code editor gutters for all types of code - the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons which I use to shrink sections of code, have disappeared.

Preferences > Editor > General > Code folding > Show code folding outline
... was unticked!
Sorted now ..
