URL of Youtrack Searches, which do not display how the Search is made

Hi,

Currently, the URL of a YouTrack Search is displayed as follows: e.g https://assetmax.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issues?q=state:open

This makes it unfortunately impossible to separate the URL from the way the Search is made. Any update of the Search is not possible, as the Search URL would then be updated as well, e.g.

https://assetmax.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issues?q=state:open%20type:Bug%20

Any hint?

Thanks.

Hello Serge, could you probably provide more details about your use case? Why is it important to you not to modify the URL when you're searching for issues?

Criteria for the Search may change (in my case, will change, as the process is being rolled out progressively).

What I wish is a URL with, e.g. a Search-ID, that, as I mentioned, remains constant, independently on whether the criteria change or not.

What is the purpose of keeping this URL unchanged? Maybe you could share some details about your use case?

Our search is adding its query into the URL, that's as expected.

I can suggest using a saved search instead, for example, https://assetmax.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issues?q=saved%20search:%20%7BMySearchName%7D If the query from this saved search is changed, the URL should still show valid results.

Here's the search reference for more details: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/Search-and-Command-Attributes.html#saved-search
