GitHub Authentication module for standalone Hub fails every time

I have configured the GitHub Authentication module in line with the instructions (and tried rotating client secrets etc). It is set with new account creation _disabled_, but email addresses in GitHub match Hub accounts.

The OAuth flow is followed correctly, but upon granting access to the account in the GitHub UI, the redirect back to Hub replies with "Authentication Failed" every time. I'm guessing there is something missing in the configuration at one end or the other.

Has anyone experienced this and/or know of a workaround?

Hello James,

Please provide me with the following information:

1. Full Hub logs (https://hub-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/206545349-When-we-ask-you-to-provide-additional-details-logs-database-HAR-etc-)

2. Screenshot of your application settings in GitHub

3. Screenshot of your credentials (logins) in Hub

4. Please also check the authentication with user creation enabled.

I think it's better to continue the investigation in Zendesk, so please submit a ticket here: https://youtrack-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=66282
